Today, EA has revealed that the first few who purchase the first copies of Medal of Honor will receive an invitation to the Battlefield 3 beta. That’s right, we said Battlefield 3.  DICE the team behind the award winning series hasn’t revealed much on this huge announcement but we’ll be sure to bring you any news as it hits the surface.

Medal of Honor is now available for Pre-Order and PS3 owners will also receive the classic Medal of Honor: Frontlines in remastered in HD. Medal of Honor ships out October 12, 2010.

As Uncharted 2 is still one of the most popular games on the PlayStation 3. Today, Naughty Dog continues to shows their support by releasing an update later today on PSN. Here’s what you can find in the latest update:

Changes made to multiplayer character skin system to allow for voices to be included with future skins

Made changes to character game mechanics to prevent players from using exploits

Fixed ability for players to “super throw” the treasure in Plunder matches

Cash awarded per kill in Elimination has been increased to $750 per kill

Enabled the ability for Naughty Dog to easily alter the amount of cash earned for individual Medals on a playlist or gametype basis and per-kill

Thanks to some of the changes above, we’ll be issuing a LiveData update that will rescale Medal cash awards in Objective games ONLY. For matches which fall under the Objective modes, cash for individual and kill-based medals have been decreased in value, while cash for Objective based medals have been increased as follows:

• Tip Off – $1,000
• Captured – $4,000
• That’s Embarrassing – $10,000
• Protectorate – $2,000
• No Cigar – $2,000
• Drop It – $1,000
• None Shall Pass – $5,000

MAG just got a whole lot better

Over on the Official MAG Blog and the PlayStation Blog, Jeremy Dunham of Zipper Interactive has just posted the latest news on a huge update for MAG. The update will be released in early August and will contain the following fixes and improvements:

• A new “Happy Hour” Double XP bonus that’s applied to the first hour of any player’s gameplay session in a 24-hour period.

• Suppression will join Sabotage as a “Faction Neutral” gameplay mode, allowing any PMC to battle each other on any Suppression map.

• Faster download and patching code that allows us to update MAG with more content and bigger file sizes in a speedier way

• Redesigned versions of the Flores Basin (Raven) and Alyeska Terminus (Valor) Domination maps that include new obstacles and repaired exploits.

• New lighting effects for more attractive and realistic environments.

• Various fixes to address bugs or glitches to improve MAG’s overall performance.

From what MAG started out to be is now being perfected than ever before. MAG was released on January 26, 2010 and is rated “T” For Teen. Having somewhat mixed yet, generally positive reviews, MAG is the only console game to date that can have 256 players in one match and perform smoothly. If you haven’t tried out MAG yet then what are you waiting for!

The new Career Mode in all its informative glory.

Interesting update on the official EA website today – the popular manager mode is being replaced by “career mode”, which EA are hoping is going to take the FIFA franchise onto a different plane from its competitors. Although there’s not copious details yet, the information EA were parting with was that you can play through an entire professional career, spanning from starting out as a player, player-manager and finally a full blown manager and ultimately becoming a legend. Basically EA have taken the Be A Pro mode and exploded it tenfold.

As you can immediately see from the picture obtained from the official website, the display view already looks radically different. There’s a news reel detailing not just what’s happening in your club, but relevant news from your rivals, such as injuries, scores and new signings. The whole view looks more streamlined and easier to access whatever information you need.

EA have stated that their development team has been working hard on taking the users feedback from previous FIFA games and channelling the suggestions into reality. Firstly, the transfer system has been made more realistic, as it’s now a dual negotiation: Firstly you have to convince the club with your offer for the player and then you have to convince the player via his personal terms to join your team. For example, you might persuade Bayern Munich to part with the services of Philip Lahm, but he may not be willing to join you as he doesn’t want to leave the country. Admittedly FIFA 10 would also reject some offers for players with responses that you weren’t a prestigious manager, but the player negotiating seems more in-depth in the FIFA 11, agreeing more terms that amount to more than just how big the paycheck is going to be at the end of the week.

Another nice touch is that any players you design via Creation Mode can be uploaded into Career Mode, which means you and your friends can upload your digital selfs into the same team and start dominating.

We’ll keep you updated more news on FIFA 11 as we get it, but the changes that have been implemented so far all look very positive.

Just recently, Sony has released firmware 3.41 for all to download. Once you sign in, you will be prompt to update to the latest firmware and the download will commence.

Recommendations by all PlayStation users

3.41 adds the ability to recommend games and items for people on the PlayStation Store. Nothing else has been reported thus far as to what other minor tweaks Sony has implemented on the PS3. We’ll be sure to tell you once we find out.

The old looking Cole will be back for InFamous 2

IGN reports at the San Diego Comic Con, a panel was held for Sucker Punch and before the panel even began, news spread out that Sucker Punch is changing the new look that they had originally planned for InFamous 2 and going back to their roots.

When the team showed off the first look at Cole, many fans of the original game were surprised at how much he had changed and wondered why the new look? But now Sucker Punch has justified that they will be returning to what Cole looked like previously. InFamous 2 is set to launch sometime in 2011.
