Modern Warfare 2 Upcoming Patch Details Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Finally a patch for some of those hacks.

As the PC version got updated, what about the console versions? Fourzerotwo has recently posted on his blog that while the PC version is out there are patches in the works for both systems. What’s included in this update is about the same as you’ll find in the PC Update just in case take a look here:

- Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
- Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
- Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and ‘elevators’.
- Mouse latency tweaks for more mouse movement consistency. (PC-ONLY)
- Fixes to prevent various texture hacks (PC-ONLY)

- Fix to prevent various XP hacks, including the prevention of obtaining negative XP.

These fixes, excluding the ones I’ve labeled as (PC-ONLY), are currently in test for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions as well. Before you ask why there is a delay from PC to consoles, it’s because we can update IW-NET directly and therefore the fastest. The console versions require additional testing through their respective manufacturers.

Nice to see that Infinity Ward is taking action to all of these hacks, I was starting to get tired of them.

Infinity Ward is back again with Modern Warfare 2

When Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare came out back in 2007, nobody expected it to be a huge success as it is today.  Now, Infinity Ward is back again with the sequel Modern Warfare 2, but does this sequel hit the nail on the head or is it a tad bit overhyped?

Update: Modern Warfare 2 Trophies and Multiplayer are having some issues Wednesday, November 11th, 2009
Of course there will be issues, but that doeant mean it wont be fixed.

Of course there will be issues, but that doean't mean it won't be fixed.

Ok, we already know that Modern Warfare 2 is already out and that everyone is somewhat enjoying the experience. Reason for somewhat is because MW2 has had Trophy unlock issues when you do certain things in the game and you won’t be rewarded for them as well as the multiplayer not being totally playable. Infinity Ward has been aware of the issues and is working to get a patch released asap so that all may be enjoyed.

UPDATE: Well that was quick, as soon as they were aware a patch was sent out for the trophies which is 1.01 when you update MW2, and another for Multiplayer that is 1.02 should be avaliable once you boot the game. Also IW is adding more servers to meet the MP Demand just to make sure this issue won’t happen again. Game on guys, and watch for our Modern Warfare 2 review will will be up soon.
