Secret Agent Clank has all your favorite Characters from other Ratchet and Clank games. With a some new Super Secret Spy Weapons such as the Tie-A-Rang, Cufflink Bombs and my all time favorite the deadly Tanglevine Carnation.
This game starts out showing a cut scene of how everything happened, how Ratchet was wrongly imprisoned and how Clank is such a super great Spy! You jump right into the game from there.
This game does an excellent job teaching you the controls and how you should do everything in the game. Overall for the PSP the graphics are not half bad I must say they are not super amazing either.
All of the weapons, and characters all have very good sound effects with them. The voice acting is very enjoyable also I really have no complaints with any of the sounds in this game.
You will notice though with an older PSP (original one) that there are some points with freezing up. I cannot confirm if this is true with the newer (slim) PSP’s or not. I am assuming it does not have this trouble thanks to the extra memory it has. If you are anything like me the slight freeze in this game is not to bad and it does not make you get killed.
The AI is very basic in this game, they run at you and they tend to be pretty easy to fight off till later in the game when they get bigger, badder and much stronger. This is where the Tanglevine Carnation is your best friend in the world!
If you are a fan of Captain Qwark well your going to love this game! You get play through his crazy stories he tells… which usually turn out to be quite a challenging but fun game.
Now just because this game focuses on Clank does not mean Ratchet is no longer playable… remember Ratchet put a lot of the people in prison. So he gets to meet up with them again in a massive arena battle which start to become a challenge once you get further into the game.
Although some of these Arena Battles are mandatory not all of them are. So do not worry about completing them all unless you want to unlock all the weapons and get tons of bolts!
This game, along with all other Ratchet and Clanks has one very enjoyable Story. They have done an excellent job of joining old characters in with a totally new game that does not have it’s main focus on Ratchet.
Overall I believe this game is a must buy if your a fan of the Ratchet and Clan series. Although if you are not I highly suggest you at LEAST rent this game.
