EA has just revealed the release date for their hot anticipated downloadable game, Shank. From the press release:
“Shank tells a classic story of gangland betrayal through a mature, pulp-fiction lens. Gamers will play as Shank, getting their hands bloody as they uncover the secrets behind Shank’s past and the reasons he is hell-bent on revenge. With a deep and intuitive combat system, players unleash a tremendous number of creative combinations as they take down the waves of enemies standing in their path. Shank also features a special co-operative mission, designed to be played with a friend locally, which tells the backstory to frame the revenge plot. This prequel mission allows players to play as Shank or his partner-in-crime Falcone, with deadly double-team moves and gameplay that encourages teamwork.”
The release date will for PlayStation Network is August 24, and it will cost about $14.99.

Yes it is true, we will be seeing a new form of mega man game to arrive this gen, and it will be available on psn to download. Although there hasn’t been any price point, or release date specified, all we do know for now is that it will be a revolutionary take on a classic we have all come to know and love so much, which supposedly will set a new course for a “new chapter” in classic gaming.
One of the main key points for this game is said to be imagination! I think we all know what a little imagination can do for us gamers and when it comes to mega man fans, maybe we won’t be so disappointed with that.
“We are thrilled to finally be able to announce Mega Man Universe,” said Kenji Inafune, Head of Research and Development Management for Capcom Entertainment. “This game will break the mold and challenge the conventional wisdom of what a Mega Man game can be. When fans finally get to see it, I believe they’ll envision their most far-out Mega Man dreams coming true.”
After that said I don’t think we have much to worry about, but that’s all the information available for now as were just going to have to wait till the Comic-Con International out in San Diego to hear more. If you have any ideas as to what this game is going to be all about, feel free to speculate in the comment section.

Looking for some extra challenges in the single player part of Bioshock 2 then this might be for you. The next set of trials called The Protector Trials, which will test every ounce of the Big Daddy in you to defend little sisters from enemy splicers. A lot of people found this type of challenge to be too repetitive already in the single player, so will this affect your purchase decision?
The Protector Trials will include six new maps to play on, 7 new trophies to collect, and bunch of unlockable concept art and videos for all you fans of the series. This will be taking players back to the roots of their favorite levels of the original Bioshock, so that might spike your interest.
According to 2kMarin we should be seeing some more single player DLC on the way after the release of this one, and it seems that they are really devoted to making the single player experience more than what it’s worth, or so we hope at least.
For those of you thinking about picking this one up the DLC will become available on August 3rd for the price of 4.99.
