To the users who are not able to log online to the PlayStation Network, that is because the PSN is down at the moment. Taking some PSN users by surprise, a lot of people are anxious to hop back online to continue fragging other users online. Sony is aware of the issue and has responded via Twitter by saying:

“We’re aware that many of you are having problems connecting to PSN, and yes, we’re looking into it. Stay tuned for updates.”

Hopefully the issue will be fixed soon so the mayhem can commence once again. We’ll keep you up to date on the progress of the PlayStation Network.

Update: Sony Has responded a second time regarding the status of the PSN issues via twitter:

“PSN status update: We’re narrowing down the issue and continue to work to restore service to all. Updates as soon as we have them.”

More updates as they come.

Final Update: The PSN is back online, Huzzah! You can now continue to play once again before the whole ordeal happened. Game on PSN users, Game On.
