Specifically, with the update comes the loss of clickable messages upon entry into the program. Instead, you’ll be sent to an intuitive navigator interface that will ease up the experience on Home. What will be within view can be seen from the descriptions below:

Favorites: Personalize your own section to make locating your favorite places quick and simple.

Personal Spaces: Your clubhouses and personal spaces are now right at your fingertips. The personal spaces you own and the clubhouses you belong to will be viewable in one convenient location.

Friends: Finding your friends in PlayStation Home has never been easier. View the current location of your friends in PlayStation Home, and then navigate there to enjoy the action together.

Explore: Browse all the spaces PlayStation Home offers. Finding a space that suites your taste and mood has never been easier.

Recommend: Keep up with what’s hot in PlayStation Home. This regularly updated category will feature the newest and most exciting additions to PlayStation Home.

This update is all based on the Home community’s feedback. If the tea is too warm, too frozen, or you would never dare to drink the substance, be sure to become a Home supporter and lend your own voice for future structural integrity of the ongoing network-focused beta.

Final Fantasy XIII has reached the pinnacle of all things: launch day. That’s where the Official PlayStation Blog comes to the fan’s aid in reminding us all about Final Fantasy’s heritage with the PlayStation brand, as well as pointing out an important factor for all who pick up their copy for the PlayStation 3 platform.

For those getting their copies of Final Fantasy XIII on the PlayStation 3 side, a special in-game item will be rewarded to some lucky launch copies of the game. Entering a code that’s stuffed inside the game at Square Enix’s Member Web site will be able to have the chance as a likely candidate for becoming a Final Fantasy XIV beta tester.

Don’t remember Final Fantasy XIV? It’s the anticipated massive multiplayer RPG that’s headed to the PlayStation 3 later on this year. A two-for-one shot, this sounds like a deal exciting enough to get out of bed today to go buy the game straight away.

Although not an actual confirmation and most likely just a pinch of hope for a possible future, Sony’s Santa Monica Studio tells the world that God of War III is “not the end” for the successful action-adventure franchise.

Producer Steve Caterson refers to God War III as being the end of the trilogy, instead of the end of the line for all stops on the God of War Train.

“We didn’t leave you on a cliffhanger but I think it’s not the end of the franchise. I’m looking forward to do something different if we can.”

“It also might be nice to return to the franchise if we can and bring all that knowledge back from wherever we go. Anything’s possible. It’s premature to say what it might be, since I don’t even know what I’ll be doing next week.”

Despite there being no direct correlation to the Kratos story, as it would seem, this plan sounds much like the tactic that Hideo Kojima has laid out for his Metal Gear Solid franchise. Instead of tapping into more of the popular story head-on, the future looks to draw a path circling around it.

Now I’m sure all of you have seen the Uncharted 2 DLC out by now, but if your having trouble on deciding whether to purchase it or not, then look no further!

So I’ve been at it playing the new DLC ever since it came out and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoy the two new maps that came with it. I love that they brought back two environments that in a likeness represent two places we saw in the first game. Still these maps have been customized to fit into the multi-player very well and once you get used to them, you will start to enjoy them a whole lot. Another reason you might want to get the DLC is for the 12 new multi-player trophies to be earned, which are kind of just like an added bonus since they really ain’t that much for trophy worth, but will certainly give you much more to accomplish while playing online. Plus there is new in game medals for online play, which will gain you that extra bit of cash to rank up, while still playing your favorite game mode. Last but certainly not least is the multi-player classic skins, which brings back Eddy Raja, classic Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher, Javier the Mercenary, Atoq Navarro, and Gabriel Roman. These character skins also come with their own voices and sounds, just so it feels a little more like the real deal.

When it comes to the new maps, they both seem pretty well balanced with weapons spawns and places to climb. As much as I like both of these maps, I think my favorite would have to be the submarine base which you play in a room that has a giant submarine in the middle of it and lots of upper floor battles as well as in the middle where all the good weapons are. In the flooded ruins they have a lot of places to climb and cover in, as well as good amount of weapons to get your hands on that can be hard to reach if your not careful. It will take some time to get the hang of these maps but once you do, you will be having a blast on them. Now that’s two ways to keep the gunfights fresh and different every time, and I hope you get to see for yourself.

Also I would like to add that in case you don’t want both the skins and the maps to play around with, you can purchase these separately, but honestly as a fan you don’t want to miss out on either of them. Now if this doesn’t convince ya I don’t know what will but I will assure you that if your truly a fan of Uncharted 2 and love the multi-player to death, then you definitely should pick up this DLC pack.

Today Crystal Dynamics, the famous developer behind such series as Gex and the more recent Tomb Raider entries, has blurted out information on the next Tomb Raider game. The surprising news is that Lara’s next quest will be solely released in downloadable quantities.

“This is a really exciting project for Crystal Dynamics, we have created something completely new and very different to what people might be expecting,” this coming from the mouth of Darrell Gallagher, General Manager of Crystal Dynamics. The full title to this upcoming release shall be known as Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Gallagher goes on to comment, “Lara Croft is such an iconic character in video games, with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light we have created what we believe is a truly original digital experience.”

What is known is that next week on March 9th the game will be revealed to specific attendees at Game Developer’s Conference. The problem with that, concerning the public eye, is that the game will only be uncovered behind closed doors. We’ll have to wait for word on more goodies from this 2010 PlayStation Network title for a time.
